Anna Wintour wants the Met Ball 2014 to be more "exclusive".

The editor-in-chief of US VOGUE magazine is reportedly determined for the annual A-List event, which celebrates the opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute, to be even better than previous years.

A source told The Hollywood Reporter: "Anna wants more exclusivity and high fashion."

Anna, who oversees both the benefit committee and the guest list, has insisted that ticket prices be bumped up from $15,000 to $25,000 and to have stricter guest list guidelines, according to the website.

Men must wear black tails and top hats, while women will be expected to get dolled up in their finest ball gowns.

Guests in attendance are said to include '12 Years A Slave' star Lupita Nyong'o, representing Prada, who dressed her for the Oscars this year when she won Best Supporting Actress.

Meanwhile, 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Zoe Saldana will be dressed by Prabal Gurung, 'Wolf of Wall Street' actress Margot Robbie by Diane von Furstenberg, Lovelace's Amanda Seyfried by Givenchy, and 'Red' singer Taylor Swift by J. Mendel.

They will hit the red carpet alongside the likes of Michelle Dockery, Jessica Chastain, Jessica Pare, Emilia Clarke, Naomi Watts, and Allison Williams, who are all expected to be at the event.
