The former Olympian - who was known as Bruce Jenner before her gender transition - received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on Wednesday, (15.07.15) where she wore an ivory Versace gown styled by Angelina Jolie's stylist Jen Rade.

Speaking about the inspiration behind Caitlyn's outfit, designed specifically for the special occasion, Jen said: "The look that Caitlyn was going for was definitely old Hollywood glamour -- something very chic, classic and sophisticated."

Jen - who has also worked with Pink, Cher and the late Amy Winehouse in the past - opened up about how much the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star was "enjoying the makeup process".

She told Entertainment Tonight: "Even if she was really nervous, she was just enjoying it. I feel like she was really taking it all in, enjoying getting her hair done, enjoying the makeup, the process. She was super excited."

Asked what label owner Donatello Versace thought of the gown, she said she was "honoured".

She added: "That would be an understatement. She was so honored. She was so excited. It didn't even take a half of a second and they were like, 'Yes! Yes! Yes! We're in! Yes!' "
