The 24-year-old model - who began her modelling career at the age of 10 - has admitted she has got "so many" idols, but credits the sixties icon, Kate Moss and all of the "strong women" in her family as the people who most inspire her.

Speaking about the most influential people in her life during a Facebook Live for Rimmel on Wednesday (09.11.16), the catwalk icon said: "It's Cara here. I'm just getting ready for the Rimmel launch party and I've heard you guys have a couple of questions for me. So, let's get to it.

"I've got so many. All the strong women in my family, Twiggy -- got to love those eyes -- and Kate Moss."

The star has revealed her mother Pandora is her favourite shopping partner because she buys a lot when she indulges in a little retail therapy.

She said: "My mum's really great at shopping, she buys everything."

The blonde beauty - who has fronted campaigns for designer fashion houses including Burberry, Chanel and Victoria's Secret - has revealed if she was to be born in any other era it would be the seventies.

She said: "70s. Free love man, yeah."

And Cara has revealed her signature style is "something classic", although she does love to adorn "good lingerie".

Speaking about her wardrobe staples, she said: "I like a good leather jacket, good lingerie, PUMA trainers, something classic. Gold jewellery."

Meanwhile the 'Suicide Squad' actress, who was announced as the new brand ambassador for the cosmetics company Rimmel London in April this year, has admitted she is "honoured" to be following in the footsteps of fashion icons such as Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger who have previously starred in Rimmel's campaigns.

Speaking about her latest beauty venture, she said: "It was such an honour. It still feels so weird to say it now. I really can't believe it. It's really fantastic. Yeah, pinch me, please?"

"It's still so strange to think that's actually happened. You know to be among an amazing roster of women and to join the greats and to be able to say 'Get the London look.'"
