The 'Boom Clap' hitmaker - whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison - believes she's been in a "style rut" for too long and has now decided to switch things up a bit by ditching her long dark tresses for a sleek cropped 'do that replicates Blondie's Debbie Harry's short bright style.
The 24-year-old singer was inspired to make her drastic change after new research from the leading fragrance brand Impulse found that 84 per cent of women are stuck in a style rut, yet 68 per cent of them are afraid to try a new look.
However, Charli believes her leap into change will inspire the nation to switch up their hair dos with the help of industry experts, the Impulse Changing Room, which is launching on September 6 in Soho, London, from 12:00pm until 9:00pm.
Gemma Rose Breger, who is a stylist to the stars, said: "Women can be afraid to change their look because they don't like going out their comfort zone, become worried that they won't like the new look and can't change it back. But you don't have to change anything permanently. You can add coloured hair extensions, try a new bold jacket or even fake piercings, allowing you to change your look based on impulse each day, and revert back to as you were just as quickly."
