The 30-year-old American model has admitted neatly styled tresses is "so important" to her and is the finishing touch to complete any outfit, although she never used to be as interested in hair styles and trends for her brunette locks before.

She told E! Online: "Hair is the exclamation point on an outfit. Always. It is so important to me. I have always been a boring top knot girl, but now I love to feel sexy and I love to have big hair. I really do."

The 'Lip Sync Battle' co-host has revealed she finds it hard to run around the city in the heat and still maintain her neatly coiffed voluminous locks.

Speaking about her beauty battle, the brunette beauty said: "It's really hard. To be able to have volume all day long when you're running around the city right now and it's humid, so you want to have volume all day."

However, Chrissy has admitted she intends to take style inspiration from Thakoon Panichgul who showcased wet buns at this year's New York Fashion Week, which she joked would make her a "trendsetter".

She said: "Thakoon did these wet buns on the runway that were so gorgeous; head out the shower, tie it up in a knot and it's a trend, I'm a trendsetter by not drying my hair now."

And Chrissy has revealed she was also impressed by Alexander Wang's creations on the runway, and forecasts fashion will move away from body con garments and return to "classic" trends, which she is happy about.

The television personality said: "I always love anything Alexander Wang does. I love anything street and easy and really mix and match-able, and I always feel like all of his pieces are very very wearable.

"I feel like [fashion] it's going classic, and I like it because i think we might be moving away from the bodysuits and the body con, and I'm ok with that."

Meanwhile, Chrissy - who has five-month-old daughter Luna with her husband John Legend - doesn't think her first child will follow in her modelling footsteps as she hasn't adorned any girly frilly dresses yet.

Speaking about her offspring's future, Chrissy said: "I don't know. Do you know what is so funny with her is I thought I would always really doll her up. We bought her all the frilly dresses, of course, but they haven't left the rack at all. She is a PJ girl."
