Christopher Kane has appointed a new CEO.

The luxury label has called in ex-Stella McCartney designer Sarah Crook to fill the role of chief executive, replacing Alexandre de Brettes.

Sarah - who has also acted as a strategic brand and business consultant to the British Fashion council and is renowned for her "strong merchandising and commercial skill" in the industry - is set to take over from Alexandre who has helmed the brand since its acquisition by Kering in July last year.

She will commence her new role on November 17 and aims to "pursue and accelerate" the label globally.

The CEO of Kering's luxury couture and leather goods division, Marco Bizzarri, told WWD: "We are pleased to welcome Sarah Crook back to the Kering Group to take the helm at Christopher Kane. I'm confident that both her strong merchandising and commercial skills and her extensive expertise in business development acquired over the years will benefit the Christopher Kane brand in its strategic expansion."
