The 41-year-old former England football captain has been announced as the first global ambassador for the L'Oréal Luxe beauty brand, and will help to develop the men's grooming, body and skincare products with a new line, which is set to launch next year.

Speaking about his latest venture the heartthrob - who has children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 11 and Harper, four, with wife Victoria, 42, - said: "I've been thinking about developing a skincare range for a long time and it wasn't until I started speaking with Biotherm that it all came together.

"They are as ambitious as I am, and we look forward to showing everyone the fruits of our labour very soon.

Meanwhile, the father of four has revealed he follows simple steps to keep him looking and feeling youthful.

Speaking about his beauty regime to Vogue Online, he said: "Taking care of yourself -both inside and out. For me, just doing the simple things can make a real difference. Staying fit, taking time to moisturise, drinking lots of water and using the right products for your own skin type."

Meanwhile, David, who is the face of the high street brand H&M and has partnered with the sports tailoring fashion house Kent and Curwen, has even more exciting business partnerships lined up for the future.

He explained: "2016 is a really exciting year for me as I have three major areas I am focusing on - my business partnerships, Miami and my Seven fund with UNICEF.

"I'm passionate about all of them - I work hard on each to ensure they are as successful as they possibly can be."
