The 43-year-old American burlesque dancer had seven pairs of stilettos designed exclusively for her, and the show's five original acts, by the French luxury fashion designer, who is renowned for his iconic red patent soled shoes, to withstand the energetic dance show on the Crazy Horse Paris stage in honour of its 65th anniversary, which coincided with her tenth anniversary since her first appearance in the famed cabaret in 2006.

According to the luxury brand's website styles from Dita's comeback show last month were carefully modified to suit the stage.

It read: "Christian and Dita devised seven pairs of custom shoes created specifically for the show's five original acts, which were directed in collaboration with visual artist Ali Mahdavi. The shoes took into account every facet of the show, including the layout of the Crazy Horse stage; from width of heel to angles hit from the house lighting."

The personalisation began on Dita's Cat Woman 120 show, which was modified to feature a thin ankle strap and a strass (crystallised effect) to match the dark haired beauty's Zuhair Murad silk gown, whilst the Merci Allen Autumn/Winter 15 item's encrusted diamantés were re-proportioned to follow the direction of Dita's ensemble.

However, the 53-year-old Parisian also constructed brand new designs for the lingerie designer - who launched her own clothing line Von Follies in 2012 - with a thicker heel for sturdiness and the addition of her name adorned along the bridge of the shoe, whilst another creation featured a Perspex heel with a single bronze spike encased to stun her audience.

It read: "Christian sketched a brand new design at the atelier. Using a two-piece construction from the back of the shoe to the toe, the ankle strap and toe are held together by an invisible PVC strap, with the letters D-I-T-A emblazoned in gleaming strass. Crafted in Italy, the heel of the shoe was created specifically for Dita to dance in with more ease. It dons a chunkier heel to prevent her from falling into the small holes that line the stage at the Crazy Horse."

"Dita's favourite shoe, the criss-cross Vagalami, was customized in glistening, all-over silver strass to match another one of her dazzling gowns.

"A trompe l'oeil design gives these shoes a powerful stage presence. Specially placed dégradé strass decorates the body of this rounded-toe style, while a single bronze spike rests inside of a chunky PVC heel that disappears when the cabaret lights illuminate Dita's feet, giving the illusion she is dancing on spikes!"

Meanwhile, select styles from Dita's comeback show will be adorned in her upcoming 'Strip, Strip, Hooray!' at the Avalon in Los Angeles, California, throughout this month.
