The 61-year-old fashion designer - who is currently the vice president of the Versace Group - has given the white, one-shoulder gown with embellished detail on the hem worn by the royal to Mario Testino's non profit cultural institution, which is located in the Barranco District, Peru.

And the 62-year-old fashion photographer has thanked the creative mastermind for allowing him to showcase the highly-coveted garment.

Alongside a picture of the floor-length gown, which is securely protected in a glass case, shared to Mario's Instagram account, it read: "THANK YOU @DONATELLA_VERSACE FOR DONATING THE DRESS MADE FOR PRINCESS DIANA TO @MUSEOMATE.

GRACIAS DONATELLA POR DONAR EL VESTIDO HECHO PARA LA PRINCESA DIANA A MATE. (sic)."

Meanwhile, the blonde-haired fashion mogul has revealed she is already starting to shoot the campaign for her upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 collection in Kentucky, America.

Alongside a photo of Donatella in a gold buggy, which she posted on her Instagram account on Thursday (24.11.16), she wrote: "Just arrived on the set for the new #SS17 campaign. We are in Kentucky - Welcome to the Deep South! #Kentuckyuncut #DVdiary #backstage (sic)."

Although the star has yet to reveal what model will be starring in the commercial, she has admitted model Gigi Hadid, 21, and her 23-year-old beau Zayn Malik are "the most beautiful couple."

Donatella - who has joined forces with the 'Pillowtalk' hitmaker to help him curate his own capsuled called Zayn x Versus - posted a picture of the blonde beauty in a red gown as she hosted the American Music Awards (AMAs) on Sunday (20.11.16) with a picture of Zayn in the crowd.

She wrote: "The most beautiful couple at the #AMAs. I can't wait to see you both @gigihadid @zayn #VersaceCelebrities (sic)."
