There's still everything to play for as we head into day two of the Euro 2008.
Tonight sees the much anticipated clash of neighbours- Poland v Germany (KO Sunday,20:45)
Poland has a young fresh side with models such as Anja Rubik already taking the world by storm. The 22 year old supermodel was discovered whilst still at school and since then she's gone on to strut her stuff on the catwalk for Givenchy, Chloé, Christian Dior, Hermès, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton to name a few.
This doesn't fase Germany though. With big names like supermodels Heidi Klum and Claudia Schiffer on their side they hardly need to worry.
To add insult to injury Germany is also the home country of internationally reknowned fashion houses Hugo Boss and Escada not to mention the birthplace of Chanel creative head/design legend Karl Lagerfeld. Those Germans certainly know how to breed them.
It appears to be all over for Poland but they pull a late play out of the bag in the form of fabulous street fashion. The polish have the cute folk-ish look down to a tee. With cute short fringes and country-girl dress sense they are totally on-trend for Autumn/Winter 08/09.
So Germany may have the experience and seasoned players to put them slightly in front at the moment but Poland are certainly one to watch for the later stages.
Result: Germany 3- 2 Poland
