The latest trend set to hit the high street this summer is the 'balloon' dress.

Inspired by the voluminous styles of the sixties, the balloon dress features short, gentle rolled hems and a scooped neck.

The likes of Keira Knightly and Sienna Miller are already sporting this modern version of the mini- dress.

Made from soft light cotton fabrics, they are perfect for keeping cool both on the beach and the festival field this summer.

The dress worn by Keira Knightly was designed by Mina and is available from selected TopShop stores and boutiques nationwide.

Other top stores are expected to be stocking balloon dresses over the next few weeks so there will be plenty of great designs to choose from.

Just watch out for those summer breezes or you might end up in France when your balloon takes flight.
