The 36-year-old beauty may have retired from the catwalk last year but she has proved she's still the queen of the industry after topping Forbes magazine's list for 14 years in a row.

Despite claiming the top spot once again this year after pulling in an eye-watering $30.5 million in the past 12 months, the blonde supermodel has seen a 30 per cent drop in her earnings from the $44 million she made last year.

The magazine said of their winner: "She banks big from lucrative fragrance and beauty deals with Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Pantene, plus advertisements for Arezzo shoes and SkyTV in her native Brazil. More than a clotheshorse, her own line of lingerie and skincare help set her earnings apart."

However, although she's the clear winner, Kendall Jenner - who made her debut at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last year - is starting to nip at her heels as she has pocketed $10 million - a spike of 150 per cent from the $4 million she made last year - due to her Estée Lauder deal.

Karlie Kloss came joint third with Kendall after raking in $10 million, while Victoria's Secret veteran Adriana Lima climbed into second place as she has pulled in $10.5 thanks to her endorsement deals with the likes of Maybelline, Vogue Eyewear and IWC watches.

Gigi Hadid followed closely behind in fifth with $9 million, while Rosie Huntington-Whitley - who has never appeared on the list before - claimed the joint position with her $9 million earnings.

Cara Delevingne - who has now turned her focus to acting - dropped into seventh position with her $8.5 million, while Candice Swanepoel and Liu Wen pulled in $7 million.

Closing the highest-paid model list this year was Miranda Kerr - who rose to fame as a Victoria's Secret model in 2012 - with her yearly income of $6 million.
