The 44-year-old actress - who set up her health and lifestyle brand Goop in 2008 - thinks it is essential for people to find something that makes them "feel good" about themselves because it helps them to get "more juice out of life", and the blonde beauty has revealed simply treading on the ground works wonders for her.

Speaking in her Goop magazine, which the 'Iron Man' star will release on September 19 in partnership with Conde Nast, Gwyneth said: "For me, when I take my shoes off and walk in the grass, it's so healing. It's hard to find scientific evidence for the idea that 'I feel good.' But by trying, you get so much juice out of life."

The style icon - who has 13-year-old daughter Apple and 11-year-old son Moses with her former partner Chris Martin - is known for experimenting with unusual beauty trends, and the star has revealed she was inspired to undergo a "master cleanse" after reading a book in a "hippie health food store".

She explained: "I remember standing in a hippie health-food store in Greenwich Village and I saw a little paperback book describing a 'master cleanse,' and I was like, 'What's that?' I remember the next day [after I finished the cleanse] I was like, 'Oh, wow, I just did this cleanse, and I feel so much better. I can have a beer and a cigarette now, right?'"

Gwyneth underwent a bee sting treatment last year, and has admitted the unusual procedure "evened" out the "buckling" in her caesarean scar.

Speaking about the treatment, she said: "The doctor stings you [with a live bee] like it's an acupuncture needle. I had it done on my caesarean scar... I had some buckling in the scar, and it really evened it out."
