The 43-year-old actress was forced to call in the police after a cabinet, stashed with lavish watches and sparkly necklaces, in her temporary shop was broken into over the weekend while staff were distracted with customers.

A statement issued by Goop said the shoppers and staff are safe following the frightening crime and the store remains open but with "proper security precautions in place."

Police believe the criminals used an object to tease open the cabinet and then managed to make off with a pile of expensive jewels - including a vintage Bulgari bracelet valued at $106,000 (USD) - according to the MailOnline.

Meanwhile, Gwyneth launched her store, Goop Mrkt, at the end of last month inside Manhattan's Time Warner Center.

The pop-up store, which has also been held in Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles, features clothing, household items and makeup, with prices starting from $100.

But that's not all as Gwyneth also teamed up with Valentino - the first time the brand has collaborated on a celebrity line - to launch a 25-piece collection of apparel and accessories.

The items are also available to purchase on her lifestyle website GOOP.com, which she founded in 2008 and has expanded over the years, from now.
