The 'Big Bang Theory' star - who looked stunning in a crimson Romona Keveza strapless gown and Forevermark diamond jewellery - channeled the 50s screen icon crossed with the late actress Grace Kelly to achieve her flawless look.

Her makeup artist Jamie Greenberg said: "The red dress was such a statement that I knew the makeup had to complement, not compete.

"I didn't see the jewels until we got there, but they were right on point with my inspiration.

"I woke up and was all about Marilyn Monroe from 'Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend,' but then as the morning went on, I wanted the face to most resemble Grace Kelly.

"So it was a mash up of both: Modern Marilyn and Grace."

To create the 29-year-old actress' radiant glow, Jamie used a selection of Elizabeth Arden cosmetics including two foundations to achieve a "satin finish" on her skin, and a trio of shadows to complement her hazel eyes.

She explained: "The skin needed to be the star for this look. I used two different foundations to create a flawless and dimensional finish:Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24-HR Makeup on the T-zone and Flawless Future Perfectly Nude Makeup for a satin finish on the rest of the face.

"Her look is all about layers and combos, so I layered three eyeshadows on her eyes (Beautiful Colour Eye Shadow in Shimmering Copper, Spice and Smolder and then two layers of mascara (Lash Enhancing Mascara in Black and Brown)."

Despite having expressed her concerns about wearing the eye-catching gown prior to the prestigious ceremony held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the blonde beauty was thrilled with the end result.

Jamie told PEOPLE: "She loved it. She is always scared of wearing red, but she owns it - and loved it."
