The 25-year-old model has admitted she has taken for granted having "good skin", especially over the last year because she has struggled to maintain her flawless complexion.

Speaking in a skincare tutorial video, which was posted on her YouTube channel Klossy, with beauty expert Georgia Louise, Karlie said: "Good morning guys,

"We are here in Shanghai and it is the day we have all been waiting for, it's the Victoria's Secret show today.

"I have had trouble with my skin in the last year so this has been a whole new learning experience for me. I really took for granted having good skin."

And the entrepreneur - who set up her coding organisation named Kode with Klossy - has advised anyone who has a "big event" pending or are in need of a "really good morning routine" to take her advice.

She explained: "Whether you have a big event coming up, or you just want a really good morning routine. These are some really good hacks."

During the video Georgia demonstrated four steps to follow to help achieve clear and vibrant-looking skin, which included bathing your face in a bucket of ice, mask and massage the skin, apply moisturising serum that is not oil and freeze sticks to boost circulation.

Georgia said: "I have a bucket of ice. I may sound horrible but trust me, it's going to tighten and brighten your skin."

While Karlie was carrying out the treatment she admitted the sensation felt nice once she overcame the cold.

She said: "Feel the burn. It's cold. It actually feels nice after a while. My hands are just as cold too."

Georgia advised Karlie to apply the mask to the palm of her hand to warm up before rubbing gently into her skin, ensuring to swipe across the forehead and working towards the hair line, before using a "butterfly" technique across the nose and cheekbones. And Karlie believes a thorough regime is vital for her, because models needs to have a "good foundation" for make-up artists to apply cosmetic products to ahead of a campaign or catwalk appearance.

She said: "We are going to have a lot of make-up on for the show, so we want to have a good foundation."

Once serum was applied to Karlie's face, the catwalk icon used "freeze sticks", although cold tea spoons are a suitable alternative, to "drain the skin".
