The 35-year-old 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star has admitted she doesn't like to abide by the rules and wear a "super formal" ensemble to a marital ceremony but prefers to "bend" the guidelines of what is "appropriate" to wear.

Speaking about her fashion choices on her website kimkardashianwest.com, the brunette beauty wrote: "Most people think you should go super formal for your wedding attire, and while most of the time it's appropriate, sometimes it's fun to bend the rules.

"This blush pink Lanvin dress I wore to our friend Scott Sartiano's wedding was full-length in the back, but had a high slit in the front! I paired it with Givenchy heels."

And the mother of two - who has three-year-old daughter North and seven-month-old son Saint with her rapper husband Kanye West - has debugged other myths around wedding attire including wearing all-white to the occasion and adorning figure hugging ensembles.

She explained: "I wore white to stylist Renelou Padora's wedding--everyone did! She asked all her guests to wear white. I loved this unexpected wedding style twist! I wore a Stella McCartney blazer and pants over a Margiela bodysuit and Gianvito Rossi pumps.

"This Valentino gown I wore to our friend Steve Stoute's wedding was to DIE for. So gorgeous. I loved it because it covered my arms but showed off my belly. I was pregnant with Saint at this time."

The 'Selfish' author has revealed she doesn't stress about buying her outfit before the event, and shopped for a dress on the day of the wedding.

She explained: "This Alexander Wang dress I wore to my friend Dave Grutman's wedding in Miami was definitely plunging, but the satin fabric made it feel very luxe.

"I bought it the day of the wedding at my fave Miami store, The Webster!

"I wore a Mark Wong Nark cardigan over it for added coverage."
