Lagerfeld Designs Fashionable Homes

Karl Lagerfeld is set to embark on some grand designs by creating some of the world's most fashionable homes.

The designer is about to sign a deal with luxurious Dubai Infinity Holdings to help build a collection of "limited edition" houses on the oh-so-fashionable Isla Moda in Dubai.

"Dubai is a fashion bud on the verge of blossoming into the next fashion hub of the world. The city is alive with culture and rich in personality, making a perfect place for aesthetics, fashion and design to flourish," Lagerfeld told WWD.

Lagerfeld is reportedly agreeing to design 80 homes on the island with 10 per cent being bespoke. Completion of the island is expected in 2011.
