British designer Markus Lupfer believes Madonna looks "amazing" in his design on the cover of her new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin'.

Madonna looks "amazing" on the cover of her new single - according to the designer of her outfit.

British sartorialist Markus Lupfer was delighted when the 53-year-old singer chose his knitwear - a dark chunky sweater with a bright star in the middle - to wear on the artwork for 'Give Me All Your Luvin', and although he has not met her he was "excited" to see the final picture.

He told Vogue.co.uk: "It's a star for a star! I think she looks amazing. I was so excited to see it.

"I am a fan - I grew up listening to her music and we have it on in the Studio a lot. 'Lucky Star' - I love that one!"

The jumper is worn in a three-times repeated image on the sleeve, with the title of her song superimposed over the star.

Madonna's fashion sense has been in the spotlight recently, with her directorial debut 'W.E.' - about the love affair between Britain's King Edward VIII and American divorcee Wallis Simpson - nominated for an Academy Award for Best Costume.
