Madonna has "no limit" when it comes to the designs of her stage costumes.

Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci worked with the 'Material Girl' singer on her career spanning Super Bowl show on Sunday (05.02.12), and said he loves collaborating with her because she is not afraid to push pursue seemingly impossible ideas.

He told Vogue.co.uk: "Following my collaboration with Madonna on her last tour three years ago, it is a great honour for me to be a part of yet another historical and iconic moment.

"People say everything has a limit, but limits do not exist with Madonna. I am so happy that, after being busy in other scenes, she decided to go back on a music stage. Not only to bring us music, but also to make such a statement of performance and fashion."

Madonna was carried to the stage on a golden throne for her performance by a group of Egyptian styled soldiers in black and gold armour. Her performance started with her in similar dress and encompassed an all over hand-embroidered gold cape, a black mini dress worn with a hand-studded belt and an embellished black coat.

Madonna was joined on stage by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A, who both wore golden head pieces and read and black, and carried golden pom poms. Still keeping with the Egyptian theme were LMFAO, although they accented their costumes with added zebra print.
