1 month ago 21st May 15:49

Marchesa have been awarded the Best Business prize at Britain’s Best 2008 Awards.

The British fashion label's founders Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig were presented the award by Hollywood A-lister Misha Barton at the star studded awards ceremony in London on Sunday night.

Now renowned for dressing the likes of Sienna Miller, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez and Renee Zellweger, Marchesa has grown into an internationally known fashion label. CEO, and brother of Georgina, Edward Chapman has fostered the business to grow so that it now generates annual retail sales of over 30 million dollars supplying retailers such as Harrods and Bergdorf Goodman.

Misha wore a sexy vampish black lace Marchesa dress to present the award while Memoirs of a Geisha star Gong Li also showed to the event in a design by the label.

Other awards were presented for those who excelled in The Arts, Television, Campaigner, Sport, Business, Music, and Film.

Presenter Piers Morgan said:"I am delighted to be presenting Britain's Best 2008. This event is a showcase for celebrating the very best of British talent. These awards truly celebrate the global achievements of Britain's finest. It will be a fantastic night."

Find out who else won when the ceremony airs on ITV1 this Friday 9:00pm - 10:30pm.
