Naomi Campbell still feels nervous before she steps on the catwalk.

The supermodel and mentor on 'The Face' has been walking the runway for more than 20 years but says she can relate to aspiring models because she still gets pre-show nerves.

She told E! News: "I'm nervous before I step on any runway, no matter how long I've been doing this career.

"A shoe could break, your dress could fall down ... you could slip. Anything could happen!"

The model also responded to comments comparing her to Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum as fellow supermodels who have also secured TV jobs.

She said: "I respect Tyra and Heidi. I think what they've done is amazing, and they've lead the way."

But when it comes to TV drama with her new fellow mentors - Anne Vyalitsyna and Lydia Hearst - Naomi said she will fight to win the competition.

The 43-year-old supermodel added: "We like drama, right? When we're filming The Face, I'm not thinking about drama, but I am who I am. Will I fight to the bitter end for the girls and will I be their protector? Absolutely, 100 percent."

The second season of 'The Face' US premieres on Oxygen, March 5 at 10pm.
