Salvatore Ferragamo celebrated 80 years in the fashion industry with celebrity friends including Christina Ricci, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Melissa George.The fashion house celebrated their anniversary in Shanghai by unveiling a specially comissioned exhibition at the city's Museum of Contemporary Art.Salvatore Ferragamo: Evolving Legend 1928-2008 looks back at the history of the world famous house and why it has lasted so long."This might be our 80th anniversary, but the fashion world has known the Ferragamo name for nearly a century," said Wanda Ferragamo, wife of founder and design legend Salvatore to vogue,"This event is especially important to us because it is the first time that we are presenting a retrospective not on Salvatore the man, but on the business he founded: its identity, innovations and values."Salvatore Ferragamo died in 1960 but the label is still hugely popular with today's biggest celebrities.Following the opening of the exhibition Christina, Jennifer and Melissa joined other VIPs to watch a fashion show along the Huang Pu river who celebrated into the night at an exclusive cocktail party.
