A student has been awarded £7,000 from a leading shoe retailer after her heel snapped on a night out.
Dolcis were forced to pay out compensation after 20 year old Sphie King broke her ankle when she fell in the shoes she bought from the store, reports marie claire.
"As I was walking down the tram platform the shoe snapped and I went over on it. It was really painful but I didn't want to ruin the night for everyone so we went on to the first bar," recalls Sophie
"I began to feel better after a couple of drinks. But then the next thing I knew I'd passed out and was in the back of an ambulance."
Sophie took the high street chain to court over after her injury forced her to quit her waitressing job.
During the proceeding Dolcis, who went into administration in January, admitted that the shoes were faulty.
