Valentino's Retirement Due to Boredom

Valentino has spoken out about his reasons for retiring from the fashion industry saying he is 'bored'.

The fashion legend held his last show in Paris yesterday after annoucing his retirement last year and no one would expect him to go quietly.

"The world of fashion has now heen ruined," he said after showing his final collection at Paris Couture Fashion week, " I became rather bored of continuing in a world which doesn't say anything to me."

"There is little creativity and too much business," he added.

On his departure, Gucci designer Alessandra Facchinetti will take over to design womenswear at the Valentino house whilst ex Prada designer Feruccio Pozzoni will design the menswear collections.

Valentino does not plan to retire from fashion completely and will instead design costumes for opera and ballet.Caz Moss- Female First
