The fashion designer - who already has two boutiques across the pond in Honolulu and Los Angeles - is now planning to turn a spectacular town house in the Big Apple into administrative offices and her first East Coast showroom, reports WWD.

The first three floors of the magnificent property will be used to house Vivienne's ready-to-wear Gold Label, Red Label, Anglomania and Man collections as well as her eveningwear line, Gold capsule and the bridal and accessories ranges.

The store will also feature some designs from her Worlds End collection which has previously been sold exclusively in her London boutique.

Vivienne's husband, Andreas Kronthaler, who is the creative director of her eponymous label, said of the 15,000-square-foot space: "The building we have chosen for our shop has a great atmosphere and the area is perfect for us."

Cristiano Minchio, the company's chief executive officer in America added: "New York is an important step for us as a company, so we had to find a location which best represents our brand. As soon as we opened the Los Angeles flagship, we started looking at different areas in New York and found a great building with lots of history, which was once part of the St. Regis Hotel."
