Rock star Eric Clapton has apparently been moonlighting since december as the co-owner and design director of posh clothes shop "Cordings" in Picadilly
The 59 year old bought a 50% share in the company in december because he wanted to keep the company going.
Speaking from the US, where he's currently on tour, he says: "I wanted to help preserve Cordings for myself. And I would like to ensure its future for the people who still like to buy beautiful country clothes.
"My favourite Cordings pieces are their tweed shooting and hacking jackets. I like to aspire to elegance, but never achieve it. I can find the right clothes but can't do anything about my face."
Cordings have made riding boots for royals including the Queen mother and the Duke of windsor ,and they were the original makers of the Covert coat and the Tattersall shirt
