Women get advice on proper choice and size
Women and girls who often experience pain in their back, shoulders and neck should take note it may be caused by bras being an inappropriate size or design.
Kluaynamthai hospital recently held a workshop to advise women on properly selecting and wearing bras.
Chulamanee Yongkiatpanich, who led the workshop, warned that larger women should avoid bras with elastic at the neck as this type of bra would weigh down their neck, shoulders and back, causing pain.
"Pain in the neck and shoulders may be caused by other factors, such as stress or bad physical postures like sitting with a bent back all day," she said. "Improper bra designs could contribute to those symptoms."
Dr Chulamanee also urged girls to wear sports bras during sport and other physical activities.
