By the time the leaves start falling off the trees,prints will have well and truly taken over every fashion forward girls wardrobe. Get in there early this summer by snapping up your favourite designs.

Without a doubt, this is one of the hardest trends to pull off. You may think that "matching prints" is something that you do when you throw something on in the dark, but theres a whole deal more inolved in pulling off this trend.

Matching up and contrasting prints can take a while to get the hang of, but once mastered you'll be able to create looks that make a statement for all the right reasons.

D&G featured this trend in their Spring/Summer 2011 catwalk. The designs included pairing gingham with floral, proof that the unlikely can work really well when put together.

The key to this trend is to start off simple. Try adding patterned scarfs to outfits to get the hang of pairing up patterns and colours.Take a simple printed dress and team with an oversized patterned scarf.

Animal print also works well when paired with the right print, add in small doses with a leopard print belt.

With so many prints and styles to choose from, try out plenty of combinations until you find a style that works for you.
