The midi skirt has been making the fashion rounds for quite some time now, and it's not planning on stopping anytime soon.

This season we saw it on the runway at Burberry Prorsum, House of Holland and Tata Naka to name a few.

The midi skirt comes in different shapes too, whether it's the more fitted shapes for a sensual look and full for a more playful take on the trend.

Keep the silhouette balanced with a full skirt and pair it with a fitted top or blouse, then add something a little thicker, like a fluffy jumper with a fittted shape or pencil skirt.

Heels mostly work best with midi skirts to help give extra height and stop you from looking too frumpy, but don't be too worried about wearing flats - we all know it's a must when we have plenty of running around to do.

Will you be choosing a voluminous or sleek silhouette with your midi skirt?
