Jessica Chastain stands out in Nina Ricci

Jessica Chastain stands out in Nina Ricci

Bright, bold and beautiful easily sums up the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Awards, as the celebrities put their stylish foot forward.

Jessica Chastain, Sandra Bullock and Amy Adams all ensured they stood out in their colourful gowns.

Lupita Nyong’o shone bright in her white custom Calvin Klein gown which featured a sporty style with sexy cutouts on the body.

Lupita may be a newcomer to the red carpet, but it certainly isn't showing in her successful run of beautiful gowns and dresses at a number of different events.

Sandra Bullock managed to redeem herself last night, after a questionable look at the Golden Globes, the actress pulls out all of the stops in a Lanvin strapless gown.

Her deep raspberry gown was custom made by Alber Elbaz and she looked divine wearing the rich hue. Sandra added a jewelled belt ot the dress and finished with sleek locks.

Simply gorgeous.

Cate Blanchett also wore Lanvin to the awards ceremony, where she picked up the Best Actress award for her role in Blue Jasmine.

Her Lanvin Pre-Fall 14 look featured a deep forest green short sleeve dress, but being the Queen of the red carpet, she styled it up perfectly. She added a black leather belt with crystal detailing to highlight her small waist, a pop of colour via her orange lips and sleek hair rounded the look perfectly.

We know there won't be any style mishaps from Cate throughout Awards season and we already can't wait to see what else she'll bring us on the red carpet.

Amy Adams chose a bright pink Roland Mouret gown which hugged her figure and featured a drapped neckline with black details on the shoulders and waistband adding the finishing touch to the dress.

The streamlined gown fitted Amy perfectly and she added a glossy wave to her hair and finished with a slick of clear gloss on her lips. She's certianly on a roll this Awards Season.

Jessica Chastain dazzled in one of our favourite colour combinations last night, a green gown with red hair.

The actress chose a Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2014 silk crepe fown with lace yoke back and ruffles across the chest.

A deep parted side bun and orange lips completed her look. We spot a new beauty trend starting right here with both Jessica and Cate sporting orange lips. It's time to lift out the MAC Morange once again.

And finally, our favourite look from the evening, Juliette Lewis wearing Zac Posen.

She looked incredible.

Her red gown featured a deep v-neckline with padded shoulders and gathered detail on the hip. Wavy tresses and red lips compeleted this gorgeous look.

Who was your favourite from the evening?
