Cheryl Cole started a new hair trend when she dyed her locks red earlier this week and now Peaches Geldof is the latest celeb to follow suit.

The rock star daughter copied Cheryl's style and revealed a new mahogany shade yesterday.

Red tones are now set to be huge for winter with everyone heading to the salon to get a piece of this new celeb trend.

Adding a subtle hint of colour is a great way to add warm tones to your hair for the colder months but don't be tempted to reach for the home dye kits unless you know what you're doing.

Blondes who want to add a hint of red are advised to blend colour in with brown highlights while brunettes can simply add a toner to spice up their shade.
