Karlie Kloss walks the Victoria's Secret runway

Karlie Kloss announced that she would love to go to University, preferably Harvard, at some point in the future, and she's not the only model to take an interest in higher education.

Model's are often stereotyped as dumb, pretty women but there's plenty of cases that this thought is definitely squashed.

When you look at the brand that some women have created, namely Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum and Kate Moss, it's hard not to believe that they don't have a brain cell between them.

They've used their brains and beauty to get where they are today, but who are the ones who have actually hit the books and sat the exams?

Lily Cole

The red-haired beauty not only graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in History of Art, but she done with style too.

Lily was among a small minority of students to get a double first class degree, which are only awarded to those who gain top marks in their first and final year exams.

Juggling model work with studies and acting jobs proves that Lily has determination, so it's safe to say that we can expect big things from her.

Christy Turlington

One of the original supers, Christy Turlington went to New York University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Religion and Eastern Philosophy in 1999.

Aishwarya Rai

The Bollywood star and former model was more interested in using her brains than beauty for her career, as she wanted to be an architect. Whilst studying at Jai Hind College her English professor took images of her which later made it into fashion magazine and launched her career in the world of modelling.

The beauty moved to Mumbai to finish her studies, but gave up her dream of designing buildings.

Vanessa Williams

The model and actresses story is definitely an exceptional case, Vanessa Williams was studying Theatre Arts at Syracuse University, but left during her second year to pursue the bright lights of the entertainment industry. Twenty-five years later, the University awardede her the degree as they felt she earned the remaining credits she needed through life experience.

A lot more easier than assignments, exams and dissertations.

Cindy Crawford

Cindy never managed to complete her degree, but the fact that she shortly attended North Western University on a Scholarshop to study Chemical Engineering is definitely worth noting. The beauty was also named her High School's Valedictorian.

Tyra Banks

Creator of America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks, has an interesting education history to say the least.

Tyra started modelling just months before she was expected to enrol at Loyola Marymount Universty in LA. Speaking out before, she's said: "The day I put college on hold becuase I got discovered to go to Paris and try this whole modellign thing... was one of the most difficult dicisions of my entire life."

Then in 2011, the supermodel enrolled in the nine-week-long Owner/President Manager Program at Harvard Business School's open-enrollement extension school. She passed the Executive Education Training Program in 2012, which earned her a certificate. Since then, Tyra has come under plenty of scrutiny for implying that she is in fact a Harvard graduate.

Even the University's own paper, The Crimson, has been critical of Tyra's statements that she 'attended' Harvard.
