Ong-Oaj Pairam SS15

Ong-Oaj Pairam SS15

This season, Ong-Oaj Pairam’s SS15 catwalk show took its audience to the designers fragmented memories of growing up alongside his families noodle factory in Nakhon Ratichasima.

With a strong focus on this period of his youth, Ong-Oaj created a collection inspired by memories that he’d pieced together with a dream like logic.

In Nakhon Ratishima, we take great delight in dressing alike.
Ong-Oaj Pairam believes that “print takes you on an acid trip of oriental motifs”.

A thought process, grown out of an exposure to many different oriental cultures and traditions. As the strong-minded traveller of the family, Ong-Oaj would often find himself in some lucky ceremony or celebration set up by his mother’s friends. It was events like these, which allowed Ong-Oaj to experience diverse exchanges of culture, style and tradition.

Whilst his Spring Summer 2015 collection is delicate and flowing, this season’s designs feel tougher, more robust and uniform than previous lines.
