Rockers Kings of Leon have criticised their fellow Americans for their poor taste in music - insisting people in their native country only listen to "hip-hop or kiddy pop."
The band has scored both critical acclaim and commercial success in Britain, and Europe, but have failed to find similar fame in their own country.
Drummer Nathan Followill insists the music-buying public in the U.K. are more receptive to rock music - and slams Americans for being transfixed with teen pop acts.
