Singer/rapper M.I.A. has cut the "best" track from her upcoming album because she's convinced it would be perfect for rap superstar Jay-Z.
The Paper Planes hitmaker, real name Maya Arulpragasam, recently worked with the hip-hop icon for the remix of her new single XXXO and she's already looking ahead to their future collaborations.
M.I.A. admits she would love to produce a tune for the Empire State of Mind rapper - and she's purposely held back one particular composition from her own project ///Y/ so she can pitch it to Jay-Z.
She said; "I really want to produce for him... I have got the perfect song for Jay-Z! In fact, that's the best one that I had for my album which never made it. (It was) the first song I was really into and the song that actually made my album go in the direction it did, (but it) never actually made the album.
"But I want to give it to (Jay-Z), because I think it suits him more. It's insane. He's never done anything like that."
