According to a report by the group, almost half of all parents had suffered damage to their homed by their Kids, and as many as one in ten confessed that their kids had caused more than £200 worth of damage in one go.
Many parents are expecting the risk of accidents to increase with the festive season upon us and the number of things toget broken, spilled, or trodden into the carpet increases.
A further 1% of parents have said that their Kids have caused over £2'000 worth of damage.
The things parents have claimed for includes, kids jumping on the bed, and breaking it and shattering expensive ornaments by playing sports indoors
It is impossible to keep an eye on young children all of the time and accidents such as spilt drinks or broken windows are inevitable," said Adrian Grace, managing director of Barclays Insurance Services.
"It is therefore essential that parents have adequate home insurance, particularly to cover accidental damage to help minimise the cost of replacing household items broken or damaged by their children."
But rather than insure your problems away, David White, chief executive of The Children's Mutual, advised parents to tell friends and family to buy gifts that cannot be broken in a temper tantrum.
