Its official. Women certainly do not want novelty gifts for Christmas this year according to a survey of 1,200 shoppers conducted by the DVLA personalised Registrations.
In answer to the question, 'what is the worst gift you have ever received?' 27% of women pointed to novelty gifts while another 14% admitted smiling through gritted teeth when receiving things for the kitchen and a further 10% have quietly slipped that special item of clothing to the bottom of the drawer.
When asked about the DVLAs own product of personalised registrations, 27% of women said they would consider buying someone they know a personal plate for Christmas, and an amazing 60% say they would be happy receiving one in their stocking.
Gosh, and there is me thinking personalised plates where oh so eighties.
