2010 has been a year of great on-screen partnerships. From Carrie and Big in Sex and the City 2 to Depp and Jolie in The Tourist, there have been some smoking hot romances.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway sizzle in their new romantic drama/comedy Love and Other Drugs, in cinemas December 29th. To celebrate its release we look at some of our favorite on-screen couples from this year.
Love and Other Drugs - Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal
Following their on screen romance in Brokeback Mountain, Jake and Anne team up again for the 1990s set romantic drama/comedy.
Hathaway plays Maggie a free spirit who meets her match in Jamie a pharmaceutical salesman who has the ladies falling at his feet.
Their blossoming relationship takes them both by surprise, as they find themselves under the influence of the ultimate drug: love.
The Tourist - Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Venice, The Tourist follows a deadly game of cat and mouse. Depp stars as Frank, an American tourist who finds himself in an encounter with the beautiful Elise (Jolie), a woman who deliberately crosses his path.
Both Jolie and Depp have received Golden Globe nominations for their roles in the film.
Knight and Day - Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise
Cruise and Diaz are on fire in this action flick. June Havens (Diaz) plays a car restorer whose path gets crossed with Roy Miller (Cruise) a secret agent who finds out he isn’t supposed to survive his last job. Together they go on the run falling for one another along the way.
Eat, Pray, Love - Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem
On a round the world journey of self discovery newly single Julia Roberts finds herself eating in Italy, praying in India and falling in love in Indonesia.
Cue the gorgeous Javier Bardem as her potential love interest mixed with the beautiful surroundings of Bali and you’ve got yourself one hot partnership.
