Arthur, starring Russell Brand, Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner is released in cinemas on the 22nd April.

Check out the top ten places that Arthur would take you on a visit to the City of golden dreams!

1. Serendipity 3

A big kid at heart, Arthur is a sucker for any sweet treat and can often be found drinking the bar dry at Serendipity 3; a charming restaurant located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan most famous for its frozen hot chocolate.

It was New York’s first coffee house boutique that now offers a full menu and has been a favorite spot for Manhattanites, tourists and celebrities. Marilyn Monroe and Andy Warhol were once regulars of the restaurant.

2. Central Park

When Arthur is not gallivanting around the streets of New York, he enjoys nothing more than enjoying a romantic starry night in Central Park with his special someone.

The park is a massive 843 acres and has been declared a National Historic Landmark.  Within the park there is enough to keep you and your beloved busy for days; including the Central Park Zoo, magical horse carriage rides, the Public Theater and much more.

3. Rockefeller Center

Located on 5th Avenue, the best time to visit Rockefeller Center is during the winter months when the famous Christmas tree is in place and lit-up with ice-skaters frolicking underneath it.

There are plenty of places to shop and eat around Rockefeller Center, making it a great place to visit at any time of the year. Arthur’s advice; ‘don’t drink and skate.. it leads to injuries..’

4. Becco

This cozy Italian restaurant is located on Restaurant Row in the heart of the Theater District, making it the perfect place to have dinner before an evening show.

Their pre fix menu option comes with unlimited tableside servings of their three delicious daily past preparations... making it nearly impossible to stop eating when you’re full!

5. Grand Central Terminal

It may sound silly to want to spend time with the commuters of the city in a crowded train station, but Grand Central is a prime spot for people watching.  While you’re here, check out the Oyster Bar downstairs, the Campball Apartment and the Whispering Gallery.

Something about the bustle of this place is magical. Imagine it completely empty, with Acrobats, rose petals and dinner for two... Arthur’s favourite place to take the ladies.

6. Times Square

Yes, it’s touristy and cliché, but it’s a must-see.   This major commercial intersection at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue from West 42nd to West 47th has been coined the 'Crossroads of the World.'  It is a world landmark that represents New York City and the United States.

7. Max Brenner: Chocolate By the Bald Man

Located at 841 Broadway, this over-the-top indulgent restaurant specializes in to-die-for chocolate desserts but it also offers a full menu of delicious cuisine. The menu includes dishes like ‘Popsicle fondue’, ‘Crunchy-bitted Chocolate Pizza’ and S’mores with a mini fire pit for the table.

This place is heaven for chocolate lovers, like man child Arthur, who is often seen buying the entire contents and giving it to the homeless. So make sure you get there early..

8. Empire State Building

This world famous must-see landmark and attraction is 102 stories high making it the tallest building in New York City and the fifteenth tallest building in the world.

If you don’t mind paying a bit of cash and you’re patient enough to wait in line, then the outdoor observatory will give you an incredible view of the city.

Arthur wanted to move his pent house to the top of the tower, but due to planning restrictions, he was point blank refused.

9. Battery Park

This 25-acre public park is located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island in New York City, facing New York Harbor.

From here there are numerous sights and memorials to visit including Castle Clinton, Pier A, Hope Garden and the East Coast Memorial. Along the waterfront, ferries depart for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

10. The Museum of Modern Art

Often referred to as MoMa, this museum located in Midtown Manhattan is a wonderful place to visit for fans of modern art. It is one of the most influential museums of modern art worldwide and includes works of architecture, drawings, paintings, sculptures and so much more.
