1969 - Catherine Zeta Jones was born in Swansea, South Wales to proud parents Patricia and David Jones.
1981 - CZJ made her professional debut in the role of Annie at Swansea Grand Theatre.
1990 - CZJ made her film debut in French film Les 1001 Nuits.
1991 - CZJ became a TV star overnight when she landed the role of Mariette in The Darling Buds of May alongside David Jason.
1993 - When CZJ was thrown into the limelight she briefly dated TV Presenter John Leslie. No one’s perfect I guess.
1994 - CZJ released a duet with David Essex called ‘True Love Ways’. All the same we’re glad she stuck to acting.
1997 - CZJ starred in CBS mini-series Titanic, catching the eye of Stephen Spielberg in the process.
1998 - CZJ became a global star when lands the role of feisty Elena in The Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas and Anthony Hopkins.
1999 - CZJ sizzled in Entrapment with Sean Connery.
2000 - CZJ starred alongside Douglas in Traffic which won her first Golden Globe nomination.
2000 - CZJ married Michael Douglas at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. Friend and fellow star of The Rebound, Art Garfunkel, performed at their wedding.
2002 - CZJ won Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her amazing turn as Velma in Rob Marshall’s Chicago.
2003 - CZJ starred alongside the very gorgeous Mr Clooney in quirky Coen comedy Intolerable Cruelty.
2004 - The Terminal - CZJ worked with her long-time fan Stephen Spielberg and the legendary Tom Hanks in The Terminal.
2005 - CZJ returned to the film franchise in that made her a global star in The Legend of Zorro and still looked fabulous in a corset!
2010 - CZJ returned to Broadway and is nominated for a Tony Award for her role in musical A Little Night Music.
2010 - CZJ’s new film The Rebound is released in UK cinemas on 23rd July.
