This Diwali, two great civilizations... will wish they had never met! "Chandni Chowk to China" is an action-comedy about a simple cook from Chandni Chowk mistaken for the reincarnation of an ancient peasant warrior Liu Shengh by residents of an oppressed Chinese village.
The film earlier known as Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo and also Made in China, is written by Sridhar Raghavan who also wrote Khakee (2004) and Bluffmaster (2005).
"Chandni Chowk to China" is said to be semi- autobiographical film potraying actor Akshay Kumar's life. Shooting began in January 2008 and included a schedule in China.
Nikhil Advani later announced that Deepika Padukone will be essaying a double role in the film. The music in this film is directed by Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa.
