Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan may be a predominately Chinese cast but there will be one face in the movie that everyone will recognise... and that will be the rather lovely Hugh Jackman.

Yes the Aussie actor is back on the big screen in the Wayne Wang directed movie - which is an adaptation of the Lisa See novel of the same name.

So to celebrate the release of the movie we take a look at some of the best cameo movie performances of recent years.

Hugh Jackman - X-Men: First Class

Hugh Jackman has already provided a cameo moment this year of absolutely comedy gold - even thought you know it's coming it is still funny.

They managed to keep his involvement in the film super secret so it was a bit of a surprise when he turned up mid movie.

Sadly it was for all of about 20 seconds as he delivered the perfect F-bomb, which was one of the reasons he agreed to do the scene.

Bill Murray - Zombieland

Zombieland is plodding along nicely and then whoosh up pops Bill Murray out of nowhere - in what is a great turn for the actor.

The actor is pained in zombie makeup as he attempts to blend in with the zombies that have taken over.

A genius plan you may think but sadly it proves to be his undoing as Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, mistakes him for the real thing.

Stan Lee - Almost all Marvel movies

Now you have got to love a little bit of Stan Lee right? And no Marvel movie is complete without him popping up some where.

It has become such a regular thing that it really is a case of can you stop Stan?

He has appeared in a whole host of films from Spiderman to The Fantastic Four, Xmen to this summer's Thor.

Will we be seeing in him next year's The Avengers? Keep you eyes peeled!!

Mike Tyson - The Hangover

No matter how many times I watch The Hangover it is still laugh out load funny and Mike Tyson is a superb addition to the cast.

His appearance in them movie did come as somewhat of a surprise but he does send himself up beautifully and he sings a Phil Collins number before demonstrating that he still has a mean punch.

Tom Cruise - Tropic Thunder

Despite not being a fan of the man the performance by Tom Cruise is great, a little bit weird, as the overweight and foul mouthed film producer Les Grossman.

But lets face it there are few A-list actors that can happily send themselves up and he is the funniest thing in Tropic Thunder.

Keith Richards - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's/On Stranger Tides

Keith Richards was born to play a pirate so when he turned up in Pirate of the Caribbean: At World's End he seemed to fit in perfectly.

Playing Jack Sparrow's father he even managed to get a little bit of guitar playing into the role before offering Jack some fatherly advice.

Sadly his stay was all too brief - but he pop up in On Stranger Tides earlier this year.

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is out now.
