Wanderlust

Wanderlust

Jennifer Aniston is back on the big screen this week with her new comedy movie Wanderlust, which sees her team up with Paul Rudd.

Comedy is where Aniston has made her name and she has starred alongside some of this genre's biggest names.

To celebrate the release of the movie we take a look at some of her funny leading men.

- Jim Carrey: Bruce Almighty

Bruce Almighty hit the big screen back in 2003 and saw Aniston team up with Jim Carrey for the very first time.

This was more of a supporting role for Aniston but nonetheless her interaction with Carrey provided some of the best moments in the movie.

Aniston was more than a match for Carrey in the comedy department and the pair had a real chemistry.

The film took over $484 million worldwide, making it a box office smash.

- Ben Stiller: Along Came Polly

A year later she teamed up with Ben Stiller for Along Came Polly, which was directed by John Hamburg.

But the script lacked a the real comic element that would have made Aniston & Stiller a more convincing couple.

The pair did the best with what they had but Along Came Polly was really just short of laughs.

Having said that the movie hit the #1 spot when it was released in the U.S.

- Vince Vaughn: The Break-Up

The Break-Up was perhaps not your run of the mill rom-com as the film, which was directed by Peyton Reed, gave a very uncompromising and harsh look at relationships that are nearing the end.

But it was the central relationship of Aniston & Vaughn that made this movie work so well and create some great and very funny moments.

The revenge type of humour is something that we can all relate to as both of them refuse to move out after they have broken up.

The movie was another comedy hit for Aniston as The Break-Up grossed in excess of $204 million at the global box office.

- Owen Wilson: Marley & Me

In 2008 Aniston teamed up with Vaughn's best mate Owen Wilson for the adaptation of Marley & Me.

Marley & Me is more than just a movie about a dog it's a film about the ups and downs and uncertainties of marriage as they story spans almost twenty years.

There is a real chemistry between Aniston and Owen as they stick together through the good and the bad times - not helped by a rather boisterous dog!

This is a laugh out loud movie but it's also a heartwarming movie as well as a sad one - only someone with a heart of stone will not be sat weeping at the end!!!

- Gerard Butler: The Bounty Hunter

Aniston teamed up with Gerard Butler in 2010 for The Bounty Hunter, one of her less successful movies.

Sadly the movie lacked originality and laughs, not to mention that a little bit of chemistry between the two lead actors wouldn't have gone amiss.

You do have to ask yourself what either of them saw in this script in the first place?

- Paul Rudd: Wanderlust

This week she has teamed up with Paul Rudd for new movie Wanderlust - the project on which she met new beau Justin Theroux

George (Rudd) and Linda (Aniston) are an overextended, stressed out Manhattan couple. After George is downsized out of his job, they find themselves with only one option: to move in with George’s awful brother in Atlanta.

On the way there, George and Linda stumble upon Elysium, an idyllic community populated by colourful characters who embrace a different way of looking at things.

Money? It can’t buy happiness. Careers? Who needs them? Clothes? Only if you want them.

Is Elysium the fresh start George and Linda need? Or will the change of perspective cause more problems than it solves?

Wanderlust is released 2nd March
