Life Of Pi

Life Of Pi

If there is one movie that I am really looking forward to this Christmas then it is Life Of Pi as it promises to be unlike anything else that we have seen this year.

Not only does the film promises to be a bit of a visual treat but it also marks the return to the director's chair for Oscar winner Ang Lee.

And we have a new clip from the movie for you to check out and enjoy:

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Yann Martel, that was released back in 2001, and has been adapted for the big screen by Academy Award nominee David Magee.

On the whole Lee has brought together a chat of experienced actors with the likes of Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain and Rafe Spall all set to star.

However the central character of Pi introduces us to Suraj Sharma who is making his big screen debut with this movie.

Life Of Pi follows the story of a young man’s incredible survival at sea against almost impossible odds.

16 year old Pi is the only survivor when a freight ship is sunk in a storm - killing his family - he finds himself on a lifeboat with an Orangutan, Hyena, a wounded Zebra, and a Bengal tiger.

There are plenty of movies that are being tipped to pick up Best Picture Oscar nods in the new year and Life of Pi is amongst them - Ang Lee may also find himself in the running for the Best Director prize once again.

Life Of Pi promises to be a movie like nothing else we have seen so far this year and will light up the big screen this Christmas.

Life Of Pi is released 20th December
