Oblivion

Oblivion

Oblivion is the movie that will kick off the 2013 blockbuster summer and the first trailer for the movie has been revealed.

The film sees Tom Cruise return to the sci-fi genre and this first trailer promises that Oblivion is going to be one hell of a ride.

Oblivion is a big screen adaptation of the graphic novel by Joseph Kosinski and Arvid Nelson and Kosinski himself has adapted it for the big screen,

The movie also marks his return to the director's chair for the first time since Tron: Legacy, which was his directorial debut.

You have got the visual directing talent of Kosinski mixed with producers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes so it is set to a film that will look totally fantastic.

But one A-List actor on the cast list is never enough as Cruise is joined by Oscar winner Morgan Freeman.

Olga Kurylenko, Melissa Leo, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Andrea Riseborough, in one of the biggest role of her career to date, are also on a very exciting cast list.

On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.

Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete.

Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft.

Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.

Oblivion is released 12th April 2013.
