People Like Us

It has already been a super busy and successful year for Elizabeth Banks but she is back this week with her new movie People Like Us.

The movie sees her team up with Chris Pine in what marks the directorial debut for writer Alex Kurtzman.

And ahead of the movie hitting the big screen on Friday we have some clips from the film for you to enjoy:

Kurtzman has penned screenplays for The Island, Mission: Impossible III and the Transformers franchise and he has also penned the script for People Like Us as well as directing.

The movie sees him work with Chris Pine once again after writing and producing Star Trek back in 2009.

Pine and Banks are joined on the cast list by Olivia Wilde, Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Hall D'Addario - who is appearing in only his second movie.

Pine stars as Sam, a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns that his father has suddenly died.

Against his wishes, Sam is called home, where he must put his father's estate in order and reconnect with his estranged family.

In the course of fulfilling his father's last wishes, Sam uncovers a startling secret that turns his entire world upside down: He has a 30-year-old sister Frankie whom he never knew about (Banks).

As their relationship develops, Sam is forced to rethink everything he thought he knew about this family... and re-examine his own life choices in the process.

People Like Us is released 9th November.
