Rupert Grint

Rupert Grint

Rupert Grint shot to fame when he landed the role of Ron Weasley in the first Harry Potter movie ten years ago.

A decade later and the franchise is coming to a close and Grint will say goodbye to Weasley for the final time this week.

In the epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war.  The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe.

But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort.

It all ends here.

Of all the Potter young actors Grint is the one who has worked more away from the franchise with roles in Thunderpants, Driving Lesson, Cherrybomb and Wild Target - building up a repotire of films that are not just wizard based.

And like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson he has already completed a project post Potter... he is set to star in Comrade.

Directed by Petter Daess the young actor takes on the role of Gunner Robert Smith alongside Florian Lukas and David Kross.

English and German pilots shoot each other down, and later find themselves at the same cabin. In order to survive the tough winter in the Norwegian wilderness they have to stand together. It's the start of a long and unlikely friendship.

He is also set to play Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards in a biopic about England's first ski jumper to enter the Winter Olympics.

He has also been linked to roles in Cross Country and Wartime Wanderers.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.
