When a young American doctor, Alden Pyle (Brendan Fraser), falls in love with Phuong, threatening to take her from Fowler, everything changes. Not only is Fowler's romantic life put in danger, but he begins to uncover disturbing information about the U.S.'s involvement in the war.
Despite the film not being a massive hit at the box office it was a critical success and Michael Caine was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his performance.
Directed by Paul Haggis Crash was an ensemble movie that brought together a string of high profile actors. The film takes place in a 36 hour period and examine racial tension and the distance between strangers in general.
Fraser took on the role of Rick Cabot, a District Attorney in Los Angeles. He and his wife Jean are carjacked by Anthony and Peter, both of whom are black. Subsequently the Brentwood resident tries to save his political career by reassuring voters that he is racially sensitive.
The film was a critical success and it went on to take the Best Picture Oscar in 2005, beating Brokeback Mountain.
The Mummy franchise is Fraser's biggest success at the box office and the debut movie in that franchise in 1999 introduced Fraser to the big budget blockbuster.
Set in 1920s, a group of archaeologists led by adventurer Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) discovers the mummified body of Imhotep, an Egyptian priest who was cursed for falling in love with the Pharoah's mistress.
When they accidentally resurrect him, the battle for survival begins, as the mummy begins to use his powers to reclaim his long-lost love.
The film went on to gross $415 million at the worldwide box office spawning a sequel The Mummy returns, which did better at the box office and new film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
Based on Christopher Bram's novel Father of Frankenstein the film saw Fraser move away from his comic roles as he starred alongside Ian McKellan.
It is 1957, and Whale is living in semiseclusion in Southern California with his scrutinizing maid, Hannah (Lynn Redgrave).
His health is failing, and he is able to do little but lounge around and contemplate his younger days, his many male loves, his days in WWI, and the film world that has forsaken him.
When Whale first gazes upon his musclebound gardener, Clay (Brendan Fraser), however, it is the beginning of an unusual (and platonic) friendship.
The film was a hit with the critics and went on to be nominated for three Oscars, winning Best Adapted Screenplay.
I doubt the George of the Jungle will make anyone's Best Movies list but the film did launch the career of Fraser in 1997.
Based on the cartoon of the same name George of the Jungle follows the clumsy ape man as he takes on a jungle of a different kind, the big city, as well as learning about love.
Despite not winning over all of the critics the comedy romp did find success at the box office.
After The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Brendan Fraser will next be seen in the adaptation of children's fantasy novel Inkheart as well as a cameo in next year's summer blockbuster G.I. Joe.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is released 6th August
