The Bourne Legacy

The Bourne Legacy

One movie that has slightly gone under the radar this summer is The Bourne Legacy but the spy franchise is set to return to the big screen this summer.

And there are major changes in the franchise as the fantastic Jeremy Renner takes on the lead role of Aaron Cross for the first time - this will be the first instalment that is not based on Jason Bourne.

And we have some great new clips from the movie for you to enjoy ahead of the release next month:

Renner has already enjoyed major success this summer with Avengers Assemble grossing in excess of $1 billion at the box office and that success looks set to continue.

The movie promises to be an action packed ride and that sees Renner more than up to the challenge of carrying on this franchise - to be quite honest I would love to see Renner and Matt Damon team up in the future.

And there is a fantastic support cast in place as Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Albert Finney are all on board.

And it's not just lead actor that has changed there have also been some alterations in the directing department as Tony Gilroy is in the chair.

This is the first directorial outing for Gilroy since Duplicity back in 2009 and The Bourne Legacy marks just his third feature film as director.

But Gilroy is more than familiar with the Bourne franchise having penned the screenplays for the three previous films - he has also written the screenplay for this.

The Bourne Legacy promises to be one of the most action packed movies of the summer and is one not to be missed.

The Bourne Legacy is released 13th August.
